The song was conceived and instigated by George Martin, who was the producer at that time of Peter Sellers' comedy recordings. Great song!

Only You Can - FOX

Fox was a British-based pop band popular in the mid-1970s. Led by American songwriter and record producer Kenny Young, the band was perhaps best known for its charismatic Australian lead singer Susan Traynor, who performed under the name Noosha Fox.

The band's self-titled debut album was released on GTO Records in 1975 to critical acclaim. The lead single, "Only You Can", was a Top 10 hit in the UK Singles Chart.

Can't Buy Me Love - Peter Sellers

Back in the late 1950s, George Martin recorded two albums with the late, great Peter Sellers. When Martin started working with the Beatles a few years later, he put the actor in touch with the musicians, and they became fast friends. This relationship paved the way for some good comedy songs. Here is one of my favorites. Can't Buy Me Love. If you can find his other comedy recordings grab them. They are hilarious.
